In this edition, Benji Weinberger Advisor at DDRE. shares personal insights and experiences with anyone who may be currently working in or aspiring to join the London property industry.

What are you most proud of in your career? 

Making an impact on an industry that has done things a certain way since time began. We are paving the way for the future. When you’re in the middle of it, it can be hard to see. But I’m starting to see the impact we’re having!

First property job and how you got it? 

First job was as a Lettings agent on the weekend as the estate agent was trying to get appointed on the sale of my parents’ home! First full-time proper job was at Knight Frank in St John’s Wood. I asked Daniel Daggers 5 times for an interview! A 30-minute interview saw me there for 8 wonderful years!

What motivates you? 

I get motivated by seeing amazing people who are great at what they do. Excellence motivates me.

Best advice for preparing for an interview? Don’t over think it. Be yourself. Do some research on the company and the individual you are meeting. Doing too much research / preparation means you’ll over prepare and then it sounds scripted.

What advice would you give your 18-year-old self? 

The person who endures the hardest times whilst keeping their head up and continuously showing up, will win far greater than anyone else. Keep going, you got this. 

Which leader, entrepreneur, founder, or CEO inspires you? 

Daniel Daggers. Need I say more?

Your best deal? 

A Super Prime sale in Highgate which was done off market in 5 weeks and still stands as the highest sale in N6 nearly two years later. 

What’s your favourite restaurant? 

Oka in Primrose Hill

Apple or Android? 

Apple!
