The CPR Cup 2023 - Goals, goals and more goals

Becky • Jul 03, 2023

On 16th June 2023, 12 teams of London Estate Agents battled it out to be named London’s top Estate Agency football team. The sun was shining, the bbq was sizzling and the competition was fierce! It really was a fantastic day, and all in aid of Canine Partners.

For anyone who doesn’t know, Canine Partners is a registered charity that supports adults with physical disabilities across the UK and helps them to enjoy greater independence and quality of life, through the provision of specially trained assistance dogs. They rely on donations and each year need to raise over £3 million to fund the creation of life-transforming partnerships. They are an amazing group of people and the work that they do is life-changing!

Donations are still coming in but we are on track to reach our target of £15,000, which is absolutely incredible. We could not have achieved this without the support of our sponsors and our players, so thank you all! A special thanks go to C C Land, whose support has been instrumental in helping us to organize this year’s event, as well as LonRes, PrimeResi, and Taylor Rose.

So what can we say about the day?

It was hot (very); Powerleague got through more ice packs than ever before as the competition was so intense, our first red card ever at a CPR Cup was awarded and we got through more liters of water than we are able to count!

But… the atmosphere was amazing! The energy was incredible and the determination was immense! We couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Our thanks go to…

We would like to thank Meat Street BBQ who kept the players fuelled with their delicious culinary creations and the team at Powerleague Nine Elms who helped us to run such a fantastic day.

We only have one word to say about The CPR Cup 2023 and that is phenomenal! We know we said that last year too, but this really was the biggest and best CPR Cup yet!  We are already shifting our attention to the 2024 event.  We don’t yet know how we can beat this year but we will definitely try our best, so watch this space!
