The Role:
We are seeking a senior executive to lead the creation and growth of a Higher Education-focused business unit. Reporting directly to the company leadership team, the Managing Director will have full P&L responsibility and will be tasked with building the division from the ground up. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape a division, establish a strong market presence, and drive significant revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategy for the new Higher Education division.
- Generate new business and build a robust pipeline within the sector.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across universities and institutions.
- Navigate procurement processes and framework agreements.
- Lead pitches, proposals, and client engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver successful design and build projects.
- Recruit, build, and scale a high-performing team as the division grows.
- Manage commercial performance and contribute to overall business growth.
- Proven experience selling into the Higher Education sector is essential.
- Demonstrable track record of winning and delivering high-value projects within the Higher Education sector.
- Strong network across universities, estates teams, and procurement functions.
- Solid understanding of frameworks and public sector procurement processes.
- Background in design & build, fit-out, architecture, or a related sector preferred.
- Commercially driven with a focus on revenue generation.
- Capable of operating autonomously and building a business from the ground up.
