The ideal candidate will provide support to the Director of Health and Safety in the delivery of Health and Safety Management across the group to help ensure a culture of best practice health and safety across the business and property portfolio, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory regime.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Health & Safety Auditor:
- Contribute to the delivery of safety and health management and safety culture.
- Undertake health and safety inspections and audits of Grainger’s sites.
- Produce audit reports, communicate the findings, and monitor action plans.
- Provide health and safety advice and guidance to colleagues and contribute to problem-solving.
- Present face-to-face/online health and safety training to colleagues.
- Coordinate health and safety internal audit and risk management processes.
- Provide face-to-face DSE assessments and follow-up actions.
- Support the development of Risk Assessments.
- Manage the collection of health and safety information from internal and external stakeholders, auditing Grainger’s health and safety compliance data quality.
- Assist with the review of the health and safety policy and procedures.
- Collate, monitor, and follow up on accidents/incidents and collate RIDDOR information where required.
- Participate in and facilitate health and safety meetings from time-to-time.
- Communicate with colleagues on the management of health and safety.
- Driving forward improvements in Grainger’s health and safety culture.
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or similar is highly desirable.
