Recruitment of three new hires for our Property Finance client

Setting the Scene:



We have successfully supported our client with the recruitment of three vital team members for their thriving property finance business.



The initial hire was for a Sales Consultant. Our client was looking for an individual who was capable of forging relationships with property brokers and developers; someone who was able to analyse potential sites and secure necessary funding. This role required extensive travel across the UK, as well as a keen understanding of the industry's intricacies. 



Based on our success in this placement, we were then instructed exclusively to recruit two more team members to help the business achieve their growth and expansion plans.



Armed with this valuable insight, we embarked on our quest to find the perfect candidates. We didn't just skim the surface; we delved into deep and meaningful conversations with potential candidates. We made sure they understood not just the challenges but also the exciting opportunities that came with the role. Drawing on our vast network, we cast a wide net to identify both candidates with an estate agency background, and also those from the business support sector.

This allowed us to comprehensively understand their work environment and company culture. Taking the time to understand the role and the business at this early stage, ensured that we were able to not only find the person with the right skills for the role, but also find someone who was the right personality fit for the business. 



Targeted candidate search

Utilising our vast network

Drawing on our vast network and connections, we cast a wide net to identify both candidates with an estate agency background, and also those from the business support sector.  We are specialists in both these sectors, which gave us a huge advantage when recruiting for this position.



Challenges:


While conducting the search, we encountered initial resistance from candidates who struggled to grasp the nuances of the role. To overcome this, we developed a comprehensive briefing document and job description, which explained in detail the complexities of the role and the exceptional career prospects it offered.


Outcome:


In 2022, we successfully placed an outstanding candidate in the Sales Consultant position. This individual has thrived within the business and significantly contributed to its success in 2023. As a result of this, we were exclusively entrusted with finding two more Sales Consultants to support continued growth. We have been instrumental in helping our client achieve their expansion plans and provided them with an exceptional team who together can do great things.
