In September 2023, a potential new client in South West London was referred to us. They were seeking a Senior Sales Negotiator. This case study delves into the context and initial challenges of the recruitment process and looks at how we approached the placement to add value and ensure success. 


Initial Challenges:


The new client's requirements were very precise. They were in search of a Senior Sales Negotiator who possessed not only the necessary skills and experience to help build their sales team, but also a consultative yet driven personality. Other recruiters had previously tried to fill this role but had been unsuccessful in finding a candidate who met these specific criteria.

We met with the client in person just three days after the initial referral.  We listened to our client’s requirements and had a lengthy discussion about who they were looking for. Recognising the client's unique needs we conducted an extensive candidate search, sourcing 44 potential contenders for the role. However, instead of overwhelming the client with numerous options, we focused on quality over quantity. Only the two best candidates who perfectly matched the client's requirements were forwarded for consideration.

Swift Placement

Within a remarkable ten days, the client had extended an offer to one of the candidates we put forward. The candidate promptly accepted the offer as recognised that the role perfectly matched what they were looking for. The candidate started their new role in October 2023.
