Brexit: The thoughts of a seasoned property recruitment expert

Barry • Jun 27, 2016

As a country it does feel like we're going through or about to go through some uncertain times regarding our politics and our economy. We look weak and vulnerable to our allies and more worryingly to our enemies too. The sooner normality is resumed and a new and credible leader is found the better for all! It is concerning how the frontrunners of the leave campaign mislead so many people, and now it seems that many of them are in fact regretting their choice. It also baffles me why so many just thought about themselves and not about the future of their children and their children's children. I believe that in many cases a vote to leave was based on people not liking or agreeing with David Cameron and the Conservative Party policies and had little to do with the European Referendum.

Clearly I'm saddened and disappointed with the result of the EU referendum. However the people have spoken and we must respect the result. There is no point, and little to be gained, by worrying about something that in all probability we are unable to change now unfortunately.

Going forward we must work together to ensure that opportunities are not lost and businesses do not suffer. People still want to travel, eat out, shop, buy and sell houses, find and change jobs etc. and I urge us all to unite during these uncertain times, remain positive and do everything we can to carry on our business as normal. More than ever before, now is the time to put down your laptops and pick up your phones; engage with your customers, reassure them of your presence and expertise and continue being positive and upbeat when promoting your products and services.

Positivity will prevail!
